¤ THE HISTORY OF THE BIKINI
The bikini was born in July 1946, the two pieces that have revolutionized
the tradition, society, women.
It takes its name from an island called Bikini in the Pacific atoll,
where a few days before the Americans had conducted nuclear tests.
In the fifties, girls adopted it as standard-bearer, stands for
freedom and transgression, first of all the most imitated Brigitte
Bardot in her Vichy checkered bikini.
The bikini is the idea of disobedience and rebellion, emancipation
of women in relation to a performance of the body that marks an
era for the first time in the swimwear. |
Obviously, in Catholic countries like Italy, Spain and Portugal,
in the first instance are banned. While in California is destined
to become a symbol of the sea, summer and surf.
Reduced, breathtaking or more opaque and sober a year to year,
and of course the fashions of the wearer, continues today as yesterday
to fuel fantasies and dreams of men and women.
A garment, an invention simple and shocking that in 2006, turns
60. Carried very well indeed.
Greetings and another 100 of these years. |
